These terms cover your use of Tale of Tiles and any order you place. In plain language, no fine print traps.
Tale of Tiles is a brand of TechBey B.V. (Chamber of Commerce 97194832). We make handmade mosaic panels to order: your name, a saying or a design, cut and laid by hand, tile by tile, and shipped with care. Every piece is unique.
Because each panel is handmade to your design, we only start once your order is placed. That is also why it takes three to four weeks: the tiles are fired, glazed, hand-cut and laid, and everything has to dry before framing.
The price you see in the designer is the price of the panel; it depends on size and pattern. At checkout a flat delivery contribution of €29.95 per order applies. No other hidden costs.
Small differences in colour, glaze and grout lines are part of the craft. They are what make your piece one of a kind, and are never a defect.
We ship with care, insured and tracked. Every panel comes in a made-to-measure black metal frame and arrives as one piece, ready to hang. You are responsible for a suitable wall and the right fixings; see the mounting guide (PDF).
Because every piece is personalised, the EU right of withdrawal for custom goods does not apply once production has started. Anything that arrives damaged or not as agreed is always put right at our cost.
You confirm you may use the name or wording you submit. Your details stay yours; we only use them to make and deliver your piece.
